We are pleased to bring you Richard Peters, an outstanding example of stone lithography on vintage cigar label art from the 1890’s.
Richard Peters was a Philadelphia lawyer who served as a delegate to the Continental Congress during the American Revolution and was named as the first Secretary of the Board of War in the newly-created Continental Army. This poster sized home wall decor print has been painstakingly restored by the artists at Elm Graphics from an original lithographer’s proof, using modern digital graphics software while maintaining strict adherence to the “stipple art” method utilized by the chromolitho artists of the period. Boston Ink and Paper recreates these timeless artworks in 12 colors on Canon Pro Premium Matte archival quality paper. This 11″ x 14″ poster fits into standard mats and frames.
Richard Peters is part of our Réplique line of giclée prints, selected for outstanding subject matter, spectacular art and makes a great conversation piece that goes well with a number of classic decor themes.
